Creative & Effective Solutions
Transportation of oversized loads, by water, rail or truck, is a specialty all to itself. Many pieces arrive in US Ports that are destined for a journey that will take them off a ship and on to a barge, then to rail, and finally by truck. Others will be hauled at a seemingly impossibly slow speed due to size or weight limitations.
Port cranes, floating barge cranes, ocean-going vessels, and tugs are part of the marine network used to move the absolute largest pieces, and pound for pound are the cheapest per ton-mile.
Railroads, although size limited, are your second choice but for the heaviest long-distance, not over-dimensional items, rival water-borne transportation.
Trucking is the most versatile and most expensive mode of transportation and is limited by everything from permits, bridge limits, tunnel dimension, and equipment capacity.
We can piece together this network of cranes, transportation, skilled labor, and management and provide you with delivery on time and on budget.
