Blight and Urban Decay are the enemy of cities, community groups, and civic associations alike. They breed a host of additional problems not the least of which are drugs and related crime. It is in everyone’s best interest to take this fight to the enemy. Old industrial property historically has been the Petri dish for the initial spread of this problem. Once a plant closes and the jobs, opportunities and security leave, the site first becomes a place for midnight dumpers of debris and worse, you know the rest.

Neighborhood transformation begins with the eradication of the largest problems, demolition, and redevelopment of the area. Many areas were waterfront bulk fuel facilities, rail and port facilities, and steel mills & factories. These enormous complexes can have a multitude of environmental problems; asbestos, lead, chemical waste, and illegal debris dump sites.
